About The Obaya - Toscano Family
Please sign in to see more.
Welcome to the Obaya-Toscano Family Geneology site.

This has been about a five year labor of love trying to find all kinds of information not only on my family the Obayas but my husband's family, the Toscanos. I have been fortunate enough to have been in contact with a great gentlemen, Jon Stewart whose wife is a Toscano descendent and all the Toscano information I have on my site has been gathered by him. Jon, many thanks. Your research has been very useful and my hats off to you. More and more Toscaos have been contacting me with useful and updated information and I greatly appreciate it. I am also an old photo(s) collector, so if you have any old photographs/drawings of your great grandparents, grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. please email them to me at trishtoscanophoto@yahoo.com or contact me and we can arrange to make a copy.

In researching the Obaya family I sometimes have run into roadblocks. Let's face it, Obaya is not a common name in the States. I have begun writing Spain to see if I can find information about my great-grandfather Luciano and his time in Spain prior to departing Spain for Veracruz. As uncommon the name Obaya is in the US, its about a common in Spain as say Martinez is. So wish me luck, especially since my Spanish is virtually non-existent and I am having to have inquiries translated.

Any information that is not correct or accurate is through the fault of me only. Please email me with any corrections or additons.

I would love to find out more about my family, especially in relations to Spain and my husband's family, especially any relatives in Italy.

Best wishes... Trish

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
